Nighthawk didn't respond to Jacob. He was far too busy lining up his next shot with the third Wraith. As he did, he noticed a group of Jackals run by, armed with Beam Rifles.

Nighthawk spoke to whoever was still with him, who was armed with the Sniper Rifle.

Nighthawk: WHichever one of you ladies Jacob left in charge of the sniping...get your eyes up. I saw about half a dozen SNiper Jackals heading to the large carpark on the north east. Find them, take them out, and don't let therm interrupt me.

Nighthawk managed to get a lock on the third Wraith.

Nighthawk: Target locked...cover your ears!

Nighthawk pulled the trigger, and fired off a third round. Like the previous two shots, the sound echoed between the buildings, and could be heard for a great distance. Once again, the shot landed at its target, and destroyed the third Wraith.

Nighthawk: Wraith number 3 is down.

Nighthawk loaded the last round in his clip into the barrel. As it loaded, he began to look around. He caught sight of the War Chieftain who was leading the charge.

Nighthawk: Hello hello...what do we have here?

Nighthawk looked through the scope. and zoomed in.

Nighthawk: HAWK...do you see this fellow in my scope? Run that face through your database, and see if you can find a match. Isolate your search to high profile and high ranking Covenant troops only. FInd me something about that War Chieftain that we can use.

HAWK: Stand by...

Anaconda, who had kept radio silence for most of the battle, broke his silence when he heard Nighthawk's conversation with HAWK over the comm.

Anaconda: See someone of interest?

Nighthawk paused for a moment as he considered how he would answer Anaconda's question.

Nighthawk: Yeah. War Chieftain with a Hammer. Not something you see every day. He must be of some importance if he is using a ceremonial weapon.

Anaconda: I can name quite a few War Chieftains who use Hammers. DOes he have anything to distinguish him?

Nighthawk: There is something up with one of his eyes. It looks like a sort of injury.

Anaconda: Sounds familiar. If I was to hazard a guess, being that these are more than likely Dangerus' Brutes...that is Chieftain Furium. I knew him. He is quick to violence...

Nighthawk had to chuckle.

Nighthawk: A Brute who is quick to violence? Say it isn't so!

Anaconda gave a tired growl.

Anaconda: Yeah...real funny!

Nighthawk: I am just kidding. Anyway...continue.

Anaconda: As I was saying...quick to violence, loud, oppresive, and he dislikes condecension and disrespect from those he considers a direct advisory. Leads with an iron fist, and he can be very stubborn when it comes to going down. He can take a beating and still be a threat.

Nighthawk: I see.

Anaconda: I would advise caution and distance...only because I am on the other side of the space port...

Nighthawk: Doing what?

There was a pause, and a snapping noise could be heard over the comm.

Anaconda: Reducing the local surplus population of the Elites.

Nighthawk: Right...good man. Keep at it. I'll let you know if I need anything.

Nighthawk paused, as he moved his scope further up the street. He could see another Wraith coming around the corner, except this one had already fired off its mortar in Nighthawk's general direction.

Nighthawk: Heads up...incoming mortar!

Meanwhile:

Tye was once again behind cover, reloading his SMGs, while the Marines he was with were holding the line. He decided to check in with the other fronts.

Tyber: Echo squad...this is Commander Vernette...how are things looking over there on the west side?

Tye didn't get a response. All he was met with was static.

Tyber: Echo squad...do you copy?

Tye was met with no response. He knew that if he was getting no response, that chances were that the squad of Marines that were holding the line on the west end of the Spaceport had all been killed. Tye sighed, as he knew he would have to go and check it out. However, before he moved, he decided to check in with Jacob.

Tyber: Jacob...do you copy? How are things looking up there on the front line?
