Vernette: Forerunner tech is tough, its strong, its...resilient. However, electromagnetic radiation seems to really fuck with it! Unlike Covenant or UNSC Shielding systems which use a conventional, external, plasma-based or nuclear-based power source, Forerunner Tech is auto-regenerative. It is powered by very delicately balanced portions of electromagnetic radiation. If the armor is overloaded...the armor and the shields fail...crippling the user.
