Oh..... Ok so all the factions are at war with each other diplomacy is dead. Galaxy is in turmoil after a bombing on the Vulcan Embassy killed 250 Ambassadors from the Romulans Federation, Klingons Cardassians and they are all pointing the finger at each other.

I've kinda been thinking about a story and I was wondering if the Mirror Universe or the Borg would be tied in? Something along the lines of First Contact where a temporal rift is located and travelled through. Or even more so, I remember how there was a couple resistance movements post-TNG Mirror Universe missions on STO with custom missions.

Well I guess that doesn't give enough of a cause for an actual main plotline, does it? If I recall correctly, Romulus and Remus don't get destroyed until a few years later. So maybe, with the help of Donatra, the Federation and Romulans are actual allies? Where the Federation is helping the Romulans rebuild and recover from Shinzon, while secretly, behind the Federation's back, the Romulans are killing Remans for their treachery. While the Klingons are taking advantage of the chaos

That is a pretty interesting concept Kairu. If I recall correctly, the Cardassians are still in a state of ruin...so they can't play much of a role anyway.
