Roman Empire RPG

Malleolus waited as the Legate's gathered. He saw Aulus. Malleolus: My fellow soldiers...my legates...my leaders...My Rebels. The Roman army is on the move, they are ready to attack us at any moment. Which means we must be ready to strike back at them. If I can guess their tactics correctly, they will be coming just before dawn. I want your legions ready to fight, I will personally oversee your legions rally points and attack vectors. We have the mountains and the valleys, let's use them to our advantage. Malleolus walked to and fro. Malleolus: Everyone is going to be on alert tonight...and the arrivals of the new rebels, our strength has almost doubled. It's been three years since the fall of the Emperor. Aquilinus is young...and still very naive. Tonight, we will force their army back...and move in on our conquest. The Romans are trained...but many of us are here as well. Let's use their tactics against them. I want all of you to report to you're legions. Except Aulus, I need a word with you. Meanwhile: Carbo fired another arrow, hitting another guard off his horse. Carbo rode off into the distance. Meanwhile: Aquilinus turned to Quintus. Aquilinus: I need you to gather the Senate...tell them what happened. Tell them I need their approval to strike the Rebels.

the legates left Aulus: what do you wish to talk about? meanwhile: Quintus: right away he dropped the shield, sheathed his dagger and walked to the Senate building. from there he sent a summons to each of the Senators and took his seat in waiting

Aquilinus turned to his Praetorians, he walked towards the Temple of Mars. Meanwhile: Malleolus took Aulus into his tent. Malleolus: You have proven to be an asset to this Rebellion. One I cannot afford to lose. Malleolus paused. Malleolus: That speech I just gave...it's not going to happen. The Romans are going to push us back and we are going to lose a lot of men. All of which, I wish I can save. You, Aulus, you and your legion are going to be our point of no return. You may fight alongside me, but if it get's too rough, we must retreat. We will fall back, very deep and high into the mountains, where your legion, which may be all that's left will fight off the Romans. Malleolus stopped and walked to his table. He looked down at the papers. Malleolus: What do you think? In front was a plan. The map detailed all the fallback points and attack vectors. The first four were inside the camp, where the Rebels would ambush the Romans, and set the tents on fire. If it gets too rough, they fall back and repeat the process. The final fallback was a large trek up the mountain, perfect for archers. The archers would fire upon the Roman legion, and when they got close enough, Aulus' legion would attack.

Aulus: it's a good plan. i may not like losing that many men, but if it's necessary, victory cannot be achieved without sacrifice. (Reznov quote!!!!!!1lol) We couldtry to close off some passes, make only one open, hide inside and ambush them. Have some archers positioned up on the mountains he pointed out some positions on the surrounding mountains. and some passes Aulus: we may not have enough time, but it's better than the possibility of being surrounded and losing quite a few legions

[Hells Sniper]

Malleolus overlooked the areas, and marked them. Malleolus: Good ideas...although..we are going to lose at least three or four legions. The Romans still outnumber us two to one. Malleolus marked off four passes, ones that would be closed later on. Malleolus: We'll have a set of guards at this pass, so we have a retreat area if we are pushed back too far. He circled an area below the last fall back point. (Reznov! FTW)

Aulus nodded Aulus: i shall inform my men meanwhile: the Sentaros all eventually got there and were seated. Quintus stood Quintus: i have been appointed by Aquilinus to inform you of the situation. we have pinpointed the location of the Rebellion's main body, and that is where we mean to strike. Aquilinus requests your approval in this action. how vote you? most of the Sentae voted yes, a few voted no. Quintus: thank you for gathering so quickly, i must go inform Aquilinus of the decision. he walked off
