So who like action scenes? I like action scenes! Not much romance in this chapter, mostly people getting messes of paint on them. I hope you enjoy this chapter and remember to review! Or else Evil Ivan'll use Spark Plasma on you!
:SPARK PLASMA!!!
:I thought you were trying to find a way to get taller?
:Are you calling me short!?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Three! Two! One! Execute!"
A buzzer went off and the game was on. Before hitting the field Mike made a quick survey of the battlefield.
"Alex, over there." I pointed toward a low half circle prism. "Setup over there and cover that area." Alex nodded and went prone behind the large red and blue cushion. Most paintballers learn to accurately fire a shot down range so they don't have to carry extra ammunition. Alex just simply learned to carry the ammunition.
"Covering the area." Was his reply.

Just as he finished the sentence, things starting picking up. I heard Brian cry out from the edge of the battlefield. "Contact, contact! Two tangos moving in on our left flank!"
Micheal turned to, and called out to Ally and Bernard, who were just behind cover looking for targets. "Ally, Bernard! We've got two incoming on the left. Help Brian out!"
Alex's voice caught ear again. "I've got two more heading across to our right flank!" I immediately realized what our foes were up so.
"Shit! They're trying to sandwich us! Alex, suppress them!" Alex didn't need to hear anything else. He madly pulled all three triggers on his gun and rapid succession. Some less-knowledgeable spectators thought he was firing an automatic paintball gun. Instinctively, the two Warhawks dove into the nearest piece of cover. Fortunately, it wasn't too far from the center.
"They're in cover behind two pyramids. Don't worry about 'em. I'll keep them there." Several shots zipped past Alex's head. "Crap! Someone's got me pinned!" The shooter was quite obvious. A single person down range camped out near their starting point.
"I'm on it!" Mike swung his gun over and held his breath.

Thwump!

The paintball hurled it way toward the enemy sharpshooter, who received a messy splash of paint on his mask. "We're up! We're up!"
Alex dropped his current magazine and stuck a new one in. "Micheal! I'm on my last mag. I need someone to take those two guys!"
Mike gave Alex a nod and ran off to find Andy, who was currently having a showdown with the enemy team leader inside a fort. Just as he arrived, he found Andy about to be finished off. Apparently he had tripped and dropped his gun. Mike wasted no time and put three shots in the executioner's back
"Gah, thanks Mike. I owe you one."
"Andy, give me some grenades."
The perplexed close-quarters specialist uneasily handed two grenades to the marksman. "What are you thinking?"
Micheal peaked through the fort windows and found himself in a perfect flanking position. "Andy, two grenades right on their sixes." Mike pointed to their suppressed foes. "After that, open up on them. On my mark."
The two primed their grenades as Micheal counted down. "Mark!" The enemy turned to attack them, but found themselves surrounded by four paint grenade and only one direction to go.
In the open, toward their shooters.
They were doomed. Gushes of paint covered their backs and several dark dots of paint covered their front.

There were only two more people the Helljumpers had to eliminate and they were all in one location. When Micheal and Andy got there, the firefight was already in progress and heated. What their teammates didn't notice was a perfectly placed paint grenade beneath their feet. Now Andy and Mike could easily overpower the last two enemies in the position they had. But this wasn't simply a matter of winning. It was also a matter of pride. To lose 4 members to one grenade could be the greatest mistake made in the history of paintballing.
Of course, only Mike was thinking about this...
...and Ally.

He dashed, and took no notice of his friend cursing angrily at him. Mike counted the seconds. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. He dove and was met with a forceful blast of paint to his gut. Mike certainly had done this once before. It hurt then and it didn't hurt any less now. Mike rolled over onto his back and assess what damage there was. No one got painted. They were safe...
...Ally was safe.
Mike dropped his head back onto the ground. A minute later, he saw a figure step above him. The sound of her voice was angelic.
"Hey, Mike. We won" Ally held out her arm and Micheal gladly took it. He blushed just hard enough for someone to see if they were paying attention. Ally didn't notice though, she was blushing too. No one, not even Mike and Ally seemed to notice the two staring at each other as they both felt a kindle in their hearts. Their trance-like stares were interrupted by a certain impatient close-quarters combatant.
"Hey lovebirds! Hurry up!"

Somewhere near the back of the bleachers, a man, dressed too formally for this event, watched the victors leave the arena with pride.

Mysterious man! OOOOOOOO. A note I must make for this story is that the year is 2553. Two years before the first Halo event. Please comment and review!

EDIT:
Please try to give some more input on my writing. I really want to know your opinions! I'm also changing the date to the year 2553. It gives me more freedom of plot.
:OR ELSE!!! Mwahahahhahahaha!
:Oh shutup! *casts Dragon Fume and fries Pissy Ivan*
