He was still confused. Doctor: A chemical in Quinn's blood called Serotonin is extremely high. By extremely high, I mean its about 9000% higher in Quinn's system then it is in the other Elites. In humans, Serotonin controls many of our bodily functions, primarily mood, and the state of mind. Different levels can elevate or depress someone's mood. It does a similar function in the Elites. They don't call it Serotonin, but it is identical in the chemical makeup...serving an almost identical function. The Doctor paused. Doctor: In Elites...it seems to have the added responsibility of controlling aggression and...several other aspects of his physiology. If we give him a continued does of tranquilizers, not enough to knock him out, but enough to keep him sleepy, we might be able to talk with him without him freaking out.
