Music Genre Review: Metalcore

Metalcore is a good genre that is very intune with a lot of teens these days. So lets go and see what metalcore is!!!!! Metalcore is in my opinion very emo oriented as almost all the bands are in the emo genre, and utilize highpitch screams to very low guttoral voices. However they are not as extreme Industrial but they talk about drugs sex, promiscuity, girls, and even sometimes suicide. However from my last music genre review these guys are much more popular especially with emo-teens scenes, and metal heads. As a cyber myself I enjoy listening to this music. I consider myself a cyber because I enjoy the music, and I'm not afraid to wear gothic male skirts and I wear skinny jeans. But the thing is it doesn't give me that kick ass feeling of wanting to go beat someones ass like Industrial music does. But i tend to go towards more aggressive music. Some Notable bands: Suicide Silence These guys to me are pretty hardcore and I love the way he screams its just pure awesomeness to me. Suicide Silence-You only live once Suicide Silence-You only live once White Chapel These guys utilize the lower pitch guttoral and high pitch. However they are the darker side of metalcore White Chapel-Possession White Chapel-Possession Motionless in White These guys have clean vocals and some great screaming I love these guys. They make me want to beat someone to a bloody pulp, and I'll explain that later Motionless in white-Abigail Motionless in white-Abigail Now that I've shown you my favorite bands I'll explain why I like aggressive music. Me I used to be what many people called a pagan. I dabbled in satanism as a teenager, but decided it wasn't for me. I have always been attracted to the darkside, but as a youth leader I cannot tell the children and teens I work with on a weekly basis the music I listen to because they will listen and they will get freaked out by it. But here is what I do love about aggressive music, when I listen to this style of music I feel more aggressive and I have somewhat of a aggressive personality, due to Bipolar, ADD, ADHD, and Hypomania and I'm a what doctors call a borderline pyschopath. However due to the treatments I've gone through for the last 10 years I've responded, but aggressive music is my drug basically(as well as caffeiene)
