He swung it at two of the Elites, knocking them back. An Elite jumped on his back. Barrabus slammed in the wall behind him, forcing the Elite to drop to the ground. Two Elites grabbed Barrabus hammer, forcing him into a tug of war. A third elite tried to grabbed Barrabus arm, but Barrabus kicked him away. two other Elites stomped Barrabus in the back of the knees, forcing him to his knees. The Elites managed to take Barrabus' hammer from him. They gave it to Tolig. Several Elites piled on top of Barrabus, trying to weigh him down, but Barrabus pushed them all off. One of the Elites grabbed a high voltage suppressor and electrocuted Barrabus with it. Barrabus fell to the ground, groaning in pain. He kept and eye on his surroundings for anything he could use to contact the UNSC. Vernette: If I could find...something here to help me contact the UNSC...it would be a life saver... Vernette eventually found himself in what used to be a battle zone. He found various dead marines and Elites, with a few broken down vehicles. He found a burnt out Warthog that, for the most part, was useless. However, the radio on the hog was still functional, but it had no power. Vernette: If I could get this radio a bit of juice...I just might be able to contact someone... Vernette looked around. He then had an idea. He ran around to the front of the hog and looked underneath. The hogs fuel cell was still intact. Vernette pulled on the cell, eventually managing to rip it out. He looked at it and saw ir was in pretty good shape. He brought it around to the side of the Warthog and place it on the ground. He pulled the radio out of the dashboard and did his best to try and wire the radio into the fuel cell. After about 15 minutes, Vernette had assembled a very crude transmitter. Vernette: I hope this works...if my expertise is worth squat...this should work... Vernette activated the transmitter.
