Really this is the first time I've ever done any story writing other than RPG's n stuff like that. So I might be bad at this. But hey, that's why I have you guys right? Hope you enjoy!

Lights flashed as the Mike walked into the stadium. Thunderous clamor filled the stadium with almost deafening waves. Sweat dripped down his cheeks as he gripped his rifle firmly.
Paintball.
Mike and his friends lived for it. To feel the rush of combat without having to worry about dying. What more can some military fanatics ask for? To win the Painted Cup Championship of course! What true paintballer could not want this title? And finally it was in Mike's grasp.
The referee standing near the arena entrance nudged us to it.
"That's our cue. Time to kick ass Helljumpers!" Mike slammed his fist into the air as his friends followed suit.
"Playing as the Blue Team, we have the Harakoni Warhawks!" The crowd slammed it voice into the arena. A group of six walked into the arena as several fan girls raved at them. The Harakoni Warhawks has held the Championship for 4 years straight. Everyone knew who they were. As the crowd calm again, the announcers started.
"And playing as the Red Team, the Helljumpers!" The crowd was noticeably quieter as they clapped quite nervously. Just who were these people? Nobody has ever heard of them before. All of it was true, none of them had ever competed in a championship tournament before. Then again, that was a tactical advantage. Nobody knows how they play.
"Game time in 5! Get yourselves ready for the Paintball Championship!" The crowd cried again in their deafening cheers. Each of the teams huddled on their respective sides of the field, strategizing.
Mike gathered his team together and looked in each of their eyes. They were all determined. They worked hard for this moment and finally it was going to pay off. They were all friends and they would see each other to the end. They would win this.
Mike didnt feel the need to strategize. He knew fully well that they would know what to do, even in an alien environment. For a moment though, he felt doubt.
There was his best friend beside him, Andy. There was never a moment where the two friends had never seen each other. Anyone could tell that Andy was near like it was the Apocalypse and anyone can tell that Andy's words speak loudly, both literally and symbolically. During leisure time, he was always prone to have his moments of insanity and mischievous behaviors. Despite this, Mike is proud to call Andy a friend.
Then there was Alex. Alex is almost a clone of Andy. The only difference, Mike thought, was the Alex loves to throw sexual jokes around. As gross it might seem to someone else, it seemed to bring them in good spirits.
Brian, some people wondered why he even played paintball. He's a runt, he's weak. But nobody really sees his mischievous side. Brian loved to have fun and joke around. When it called for though, he was by far the most serious of the six.
Bernard, at first glance he might seem to be the arrogant and stuck up cool guy. His physical image vastly differs from his personality. Bernard is very knowledgeable and has a strong sense of what is right. Bernard was a mentor by nature, and his strong sense of ethic would always win the hearts of others.
Lastly, Alysia. Nobody, even Alysia, really like her full name. People just called her Ally. The fact she wanted to be friends with Mike and the other had them stuck back. And no, this wasn't some tomboy, nor was she overly aggressive. She wasn't uptight or hyperactive or anything. She was just your average girl who wanted to have fun with her friends.
Mike couldn't help but smile as the thought of her enter his mind, and he had to admit, she was rather cute. With her can-do attitude and her quirky nature, he didn't really picture her to be some angel from the heavens. But she was kind and compassionate, and she was always willing to help others. And when everyone was down (Alex might not even pull a joke) Ally would always be there to cheer them up.
The more his mind dwelled on her though, even when nobody was around, Mike could feel his cheeks grow warm and he well knew why. This isn't the first time it happened either, not by a long shot. For the past few days Mike had been speaking with Ally and quite more loosely than he normally would be, which he would feel it was alright to say but then feel embarrassed after the fact. One of the more notable was his impulsive decision to take a hit for Ally from a paint grenade. It couldn't be so, Mike thought, but after some time thinking, he was clear on his reasons for his actions.
He liked her.
She was definitely a nice person, there was no question there, as she would go out of her way to make someone feel better. She was smart, resourceful, she was-Mike felt even warmer-she was attractive, all being good reasons why Mike would like her. What really got him was when Ally would get out while in a match, he would fight harder. Maybe it was because he felt pressured in picking up someone's slack, but that just didn't seem like the answer.
Ah what the hell. I'm fallin' for her.
Mike's mind stepped in.
Gah! Can't be thinking about that. We've got a championship to win.
Yes, they had to be set for the game, and they were ready for it.
"Alright people! I hope you're ready for the paintballing match of your lives!" The crowd screamed in response, no longer able to wait.
"Paintballers! Take your positions! 3! 2! 1! Execute!"
The game was on.

I hope this was a good chapter! But I'll never know without reviews! So please do! Thank you!
And another thing: I've always used Mike as the leader of these group of friends. In no way did I get the name from our lovely MadMike ; )
