Was it Smart to kill Osama bin Laden?

Simple question. It's been a big question in the past few days and personally I think it was a great decision. Al Qaeda has had one leader in the last 40 something years, that was Osama bin Laden, their leader is dead. Al Qaeda is lost without a leader, but even now, the FBI, White House, CIA, they're getting reports of terrorists promising revenge and even an unoperational plan for terrorists to hit some type of railroad, metro, subway system on 9.11.11. Al Qaeda is going to need a leader and there are people who are going to fight for it....even if they are trying to reorganize themselves, I believe they will fall apart.

Well how do you know they are lost without a leader? we dont know the next person in power, or at least i dont. Osama most likely left documents with his people so his ideas are still up in the air

I think Osama lifted the moral of the US and can be seen as a "positive outcome" of having marines in the middle east. I do not think it will stop al quiada however. Just liek the legion, they continued their plans, even without caesar.

Many of Osama's plans and documents were found inside the compound he was hiding in. Without a clear leader, at least none that we can see, Al Qaeda is scattered. And there are soldiers in Pakistan hunting down known Al Qaeda leaders. And Austin...this isn't Fallout...
