RPGs are very fun, there's no denying that. But lets be honest, There have been so many RPGs posted within the last week, It's crazy. It was even one of the reasons that the NHRPG got temporarily locked.
Now Before anyone calls me a hypocrite, When an RPG gets locked, it's rare that it gets unlocked. However. in the NHRPG's case, It's a 30,000 post+ RPG, with a story spanning 2 forums. So yes, it does get a bit of special treatment.
Likewise, when there are So many RPGs out there that barely get over 200 posts, Some guidelines must be set.
- You can not run more than 1 RPG at the same time.
- No two RPGs of the same base theme can be active at a time.
- There cannot be more then 3 active RPGs going at a time. This precludes RPGs that are on pause.
- We won't Lock one of your previous RPGs so you can post a new one. You will have to wait for your RPG to thoroughly Die.
- 4 days with no activity will result in your RPG getting locked.
- We will NOT reopen an RPG that has been locked twice.
- Any RPG idea that fails and/or dies, will no longer be allowed to be recreated in any way/shape/form unless the Staff creates it. For example - a Mass Effect RPG that fails cannot be recreated down the road because it is proven as a failed RPG idea that will not fly. Duplicate of FAILED RPGs will be immediately deleted without notice.
When an RPG is on pause, it is still "active" and a subsequent back story RPG can overlap it. Once the back story RPG has concluded, the RPG will "resume"
Please...plan your RPG before creating it. Having a good story is important.
