Holy fuck balls I love this game...theres a part where you fight stuff,and then theres a part in Spain,and you fight Napeolean Bonepart,eh...I'll explain this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Story ------- Psychonauts is a game based around the human mind,and its uses...like Psy energy...the ability to use your mind to move things,turn invisible,even see using a God's Eye!Our hero,Rasputen(not the Greek God...wait...is he a god?Great now Im confused.)sneaks unto a training camp for an elite,and very much top-secret,agency of Psyconauts.Raz seeks retribution for all of his psycic kind,and himself in the eyes of his parents.Who shun psycics...and all their practices.But when Raz arrives,a mystery begins to unravel...people losing their minds,literally!Raz's journey takes him from a not-so-freindly camp to an insane asylum off in the pacific.He must find out why everyone is acting so...stupid.And find out what the fuck that sound always coming over the loud speakers is!SERIOUSLY!Its disturbing! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Gameplay ----------- Psychonauts runs like a charm.In the time I've played it,there have been NO FPS problems.It runs so smoothly,despite its whacky scenes with just fucking twirling around pipes and glowing disco balls and...theres alot going on.Plus the graphics are great and comical.Like a 3D cartoon.Just instead of episodes,or chapters for that matter,its a free-roaming exiting to watch and listen to movie.Its full of goodies too.Like the floating Psycic bear.And hilarious dialouge.Although,after you play it once the jokes get un-funny.Like real-life.But the game is still enjoyable.The color pallet must've included like 80 different colors and shades.There are rave partys,and a part where you literally jump into a painting. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Raz's badassery ------------------ Another great section of me saying things before a verdict!Raz is a fucking badass.People kept telling him he couldn't do it but he just gave them the finger and said "Fuck you" then punched their teeth down their throats.Raz constantly helps people work out their mental problems from the heart of the situation.And he does it by punching things,and setting them on fire.Sure,maybe badass isnt the word for it.But its definently something to remember about Raz. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Verdict(UH OH HERE IT COMES) Smooth running+ Occasional dialouge issue(Mouths not moving while talking)- Very original story(Unless you count zombie movies)+ 9.5/10 Damn CLOSE to 10/10!But still,most games we have today make this game less valuable. Now,whoever the fuck is making Psyconauts 2(Rumors are flaoting that it will be made),get the fuck on it.
