MortalKombat:Shaolin Monks?! What?Dont know what this game is?Well I guess I'll have to review it!AND I FUCKING HATE DOING REVIEWS!TIME FOR AN ANGRY REVIEW KIDS! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Story ------ The story of MK:SM follows two of Mortal Kombat's Earthrealm champions.Kung Lao,and Liu Kang.After defeating Shang Tsung at his Mortal Kombat tournament(MK1)and escaping Goro's lair,the two are forced to embark on a journey to save Earthrealm from Shang Tsung.But they will soon find that there is a greater evil than Shang Tsung...(The leading up to MK3.) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Gameplay ---------- First of all,this game NEGLECTS OUR NEED TO PLAY ARCADE!AND MULTIPLAYER!There is NO arcade mode!Sure there is a versus,but no arcade mode!Just a single player!That is guess what,FUCKING FRUSTRATING!I can almost guarantee you that the boss fights will take more than one try.So thats a con of this game.But lets move back on the real Gameplay.The graphics look pretty goddamn good for a PS2.The game was made in 2005,but it looks like a 2007 kind of game.Although there is always that cutscene glitch where some things in it are out of place.Like Ko-Op where both the players appear in front of a fatality cut-scene. There are a great deal of sekrets in this game,like MK2,and at least 200+ collectibles. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- MK2 ------ I felt like,before I ended this review,I should make a whole segment of me ranting about this piece of shit,MK2.So feel free to skip to the verdict from this,but if you do I'll have to refer to you as a dick smack.Now MK2 is such a huge load of bull-fuck.All the A.I ever does is High punch.Here is the run-down of what the A.I does. 1st fight-All HP's. 2nd fight-2 Special Moves,and then all HP's. 3rd fight-4 Special Moves,SOMETIMES a LK,and then HP's. 4th fight-Dunno,havent made it that goddamn far! Seriously,I spent 3 and a half hours unlocking this thing,and I hate it!End.I hate MK2.TO THE VERDICT! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Verdict Lack of MP- Great graphics+ Story that makes since(If you thought about like I did)+ Too much pointless Concept art unlocks- Ridicoulsy hard to fight bosses(Kintaro goes right through my blocking!)- Fuck MK2--------------- ------------------- 6/10 Fair ---------------- Its a great game,it just got boring around the middle of the game,then became full on un-winnable.Then all the stupid unlocks,plus MK2.Fuck that shit.SO ENDS THE FIRST OF MANY ANGRY REVIEWS!

I think Shaolin Monks was a fun beat em' up. I've beaten it 4 times, once as Kung Lao, once as Scorpion, once as Liu Kang, and once as Sub Zero. coop is kinda broken, so is versus, Being a fan of Mortal Kombat, I LOVED how they included mk II for FREE. Mortal Kombat II was a blast for me...don't know what your complaining about. It was challenging at first, but it just takes the mindset of someone born in the 80s....which is YOU MUST BEAT THE GAME! DON'T LET THE GAME BEAT YOU and now I go through the arcade ladder of MK II on ps3 every morning, just to wake myself up. all in all, good review Mike, it's always nice to see reviews on TNO
