This is a Modern Day RPG that involves the lives of Soldiers in Afghanistan. All soldiers will be males and in their prime years. Some have several experience in Combat, others are "Cherries", or "Virgins" to the realities of war.
*******************************RULES********************************
1. No killing in this RPG without my say so. This includes friendlies and enemies alike. Most combat occurs at from 300 meters outward. The maximum effective range of the M16A4 is about 500 meters, and enemies will be barely larger than the iron sights on your weapons. Hitting them will be extremely difficult without optics.
2. No females. You are Combat Infantrymen, and Females are not allowed to serve in this field. Other jobs may open up later, which will allow females to be rped (such as cooks) possibilities depend on the number of people in the RPG.
3. Stick to the weapons offered. You are soldiers, and WILL use what is issued to you. Use of enemy weapons in combat is not permitted, as this will result in friendly fire. Enemy weapons may be used at ranges in the base.
4. This is a mountainous terrain. Expect casualties, either from ambushes, the elements, or sheer bad luck. I will make admin posts that will influence major events that take place in this RPG.
5. No controlling other member's characters unless their absence causes a stall in the story. Minute things like "he nodded" or "grunted" or whatever are acceptable.
6. Weapons and Attachments. Stick to 2 attachments per a weapon. The attachments are lasers, suppressors, Red Dot sights, ACOG sights, Grenade Launchers, or Bipods.
7. Jobs. The main jobs available for now will be Grenadier (M16A4 w/ M320 Grenade Launcher +1 attachment), Rifleman (M16A4 +2 attachments), Advanced Rifleman (M4A1 +2 attachments), and Automatic Rifleman (M249 SAW or Mk48 + 2 attachments). No Designated Marksmen at the moment.
8. Be realistic. This relates to rule 1. Obviously, the M16A4 will be less prone to jamming and have longer range than the M4A1, but it will not have Automatic firepower. The M249 is going to have a higher rate of fire and less recoil than the Mk48 but at the cost of reliability, Stopping Power, and range.
9. Have fun. This is an attempt to get you the closest to experiencing war as you can while still being safe.

You are soldier in Afghanistan. The year is 2006, and fighting is intense in the Korengal Valley. This valley is the Farthest the Soviets ever pushed back in the 1980s. Now, us American Soldiers are here to keep the enemy at bay, while turning the Civilian Population in our favor.
We are Battle Company, the most respected company in our Battalion. We're the ones on the front lines at the Forward Operating Base. Slowly, we're pushing deeper into the valley, and timing, luck, and skill will determine the outcome.
***********************************************
At our current FOB, there are M2HB Machine guns inside armored platforms. The Base is elevated, giving us a good view over the valley while providing excellent defense. The barracks are nothing too special, as Command recently cut off extra supplies for a while. However, they do provide pretty good protection against the elements, and there is a feeling of security while in them. Outside the barracks is a burn pit where trash is burned and meals are cooked.
The temperature is slightly chilly since it is nearing winter, and people prefer to remain in the full ACU set to keep warm. Inside the barracks is a stove that is used for personal use, and it also acts as a heater.
