Jacob wasn't going to deny anything Anaconda was saying, it was all true, and hearing it from a brute cut even deeper. He was a traitor, he had lost his credibility, but he had something Anaconda did not. A way out, and more importantly, information. Jacob: You're right, Anaconda. I have lost all my credibility, I have nowhere to go. I did not originally betray the UNSC for personal gain, I saw the value in being a double Agent. I was never part of the Trust, I never wanted to be part of the Trust. Jacob paused, he looked Anaconda in the eyes. Jacob: But I saw an opportunity to get inside of them, to get into their ranks, their heads, their ship. I have information, I have access to battle plans, strategies, personnel profiles. It's right here. Jacob took a step back and stared at Anaconda, never losing his composure. Jacob: But, I have something far more important. I know what the Trust is planning to do, and I know how to stop it. Jacob paused. Jacob: Have you ever heard of a construct, a construct that calls itself "Vanguard"?
