Jennifer: Understood sir. I am deploying teams...now...
Jennifer looked at Tye and Cameron, as she pointed at the door of the bridge. Tye and Cameron nodded, as they left the bridge in a hurry.
Jennifer: I will coordinate with our AA teams on the ground and we will work on bringing those Sabres down.
Jennifer paused.
Jennifer: I will see if I can coordinate with any of our remaining ships as well. I will check to see if Reynolds has anything that would be worth putting on the battlefield.
Jennifer paused again.
Jennifer: IN the mean time...we should try and consolidate as many soldiers as we can into various rendezvous points so we can eventually advance on the Apex Applied Research Building.
Meanwhile:
Nighthawk and Anaconda's Vulture had docked inside of the Venture Capitalist's hanger bay. As the ship touched down, Nighthawk and Anaconda stepped out of the Vulture.
Nighthawk: Barrabus...would you kindly get the car hooked up to the Vulture. I am gonna grab a few things.
Anaconda nodded. Nighthawk turned as he walked into the corner of the hanger bay and opened a supply crate. Inside, he grabbed a Jetpack that matched the color of his armor. Nighthawk then carried the jetpack over to the Vulture.
Nighthawk: So...between Dangerus and Xyrho...which of the two would be easier to contact?
Anaconda: Xyrho, more than likely. Dangerus is in command of the fleet, so he would be far more engaged with communications than Xyrho would be. Xyrho would be the one we would want to contact.
As Anaconda said this, he hopped into the driver seat of the large Warthog, and started the engine.
Anaconda: I am sure we can get Xyrho to talk with Dangerus from there.
Anaconda began to move the Warthog closer to the aft portion of the Vulture, driving right up to the rear hatch.
Nighthawk had turned away, as he walked back towards the supply crate, and grabbed a grabbed a Brute Jumpjet.
Anaconda watched Nighthawk, and gave a grunt.
Anaconda: What are you planning for?
Nighthawk: Honestly? If we are in close quarters...in a skyscraper, with The Risk Takers...I am anticipating a possible jump off a building or out a window
Anaconda laughed.
Anaconda: Have these things even been tested?
Nighthawk: Once or twice. They work.
Anaconda: They better.
Nighthawk: Common...everything I build works.
Anaconda stared at Nighthawk, but then changed his attention to attaching the Warthog to the Vulture.
Nighthawk: So...how much help can we expect from Xyrho and/or Dangerus?
Anaconda: Depends on what we ask of them. If we flat out ask them to ignore the conflict with the UNSC...they will decline. I am sure of that. If they stop the fighting...their subordinates will begin to ask questions...and it could lead to a change of leadership through attrition.
Nighthawk: Meaning?
Anaconda: Someone will try to kill someone. Dangerus and Xyrho will want to avoid this at all costs.
Nighthawk: So how far can we get with this then? What use can we get from asking Xyrho and/or Dangerus for help?
Anaconda: If we inform them about The Trust, we can advise them on who to fight. Xyrho and Dangerus would have no qualms fighting The Trust, so long as it looks like they are leading the fight against Humans. If we give them Trust targets...we should be fine.
Anaconda paused.
Anaconda: Perhaps, to a degree, we can enlist their help to fight The Risk Takers.
Anaconda finished hooking the Warthog up to the Vulture. He walked around the hog and approached Nighthawk.
Anaconda: They will help us fight The Risk Takers...I am certain of it.
Anaconda shrugged.
Anaconda: The only complication will be justifying that to the Humans. While Frost may give you a pass on this, MANY others will not. If we are discovered to be in collusion with The Covenant...
Nighthawk: It will damage our credibility. I am aware of that.
Nighthawk paused.
Nighthawk: I prefer 7 vs 4 as opposed to 7 vs 2.
Anaconda nodded.
Anaconda: What is our plan of engagement against The Risk Takers anyway?
Nighthawk: Honestly...I am not fully sure. We will be on their turf again. We will have to think of something when we are there. However, we should try to seperate them. When they are all together...they are a force for sure.
Nighthawk shrugged.
Nighthawk: These guys have been studying us for a long time. We have barely anything on them. Engaging them, in any setting, is very dangerous at the moment. With the Exo-Suit damaged...I cannot risk taking it into battle at the moment. Our best chance is separating The Risk Takers.
Anaconda began to laugh.
Anaconda: How are we still alive with such steep odds?
Nighthawk began to laugh.
Nighthawk: Honestly...I dunno.
