At an early age, Evan had an incredibly high aptitude and was in the 99.9 percentile for intelligence. Due to Evan's high aptitude, he had finished high school at the age of 16. Upon his graduation from high school, Evan was approached by military officials, who were in fact undercover ONI Agents, and was offered immediate enlistment into the military, in the hopes that his high aptitude could be used in service to the military. It was at this time that Evan had the choice of whether to pursue a private life, or a life in the military, and he decided to go with the military. By June of 2503, Evan had started his basic training, which lasted 4 months. During this time, Evan demonstrated time and again that he had a natural inclination towards the military life, showing much promise and potential. It was because of this, as well as his aptitude, that Evan was selected to be in the final wave of ORION candidates. By November of 2503, Evan was paired with 4 other men; Jonas Prescott, Archimedes Drake, Kraven Vance, and Eli Decker. Together, the five men underwent the necessary augmentation and Black-Ops training necessary for their operations. By January of 2504, Evan, and the rest of his team, has completed their training and were ready for deployment. Due to Evan's age at the time of these events, it was very controversial among the upper brass to have him involved in the program. However, ONI was desperate to keep a hold of its best candidates and soldiers, and subsequently covered up Evan's age, which allowed ONI to deploy Evan into dangerous combat situations, despite being only 17 years old. By the time ORION was shut down in 2506, Evan and his team ran exactly 62 highly dangerous ops against The Insurrection - all successful. After ORION was shut down, Evan decided to enroll in the Eclipse Military Academy for Higher Learning, fully intent on earning an officer's commission. By 2512, Evan had earned a masters degree in engineering and then proceeded to return to active military service. Evan places the highest priority on killing Tye in retribution for the death of Eli Decker. The UNSC Evan is very indifferent to the UNSC - seeing them as little more than a means to an end for organizations like ONI and The Trust. Evan cares veyy little about the inner workings of The UNSC or its personnel. ONI Evan is not fond of ONI, but he does respect the technical expertise of the organization. Evan has always been impressed by ONI's ability to reverse engineer stolen technology for its own purposes. It is for this reason that Evan does not hate ONI, but rather, simply dislike them for their narrow view on the political direction of Humanity. The Trust Evan considers The Trust to be the utmost authority in terms of Human affairs. His loyalty to The Trust is absolute and unwavering. The Covenant Evan has a very keen interest in Covenant technology. He will often utilize tactics against Covenant soldiers which will enable him to recover technology and utilize it against The Covenant. Evan has a paticular interest in Drones and Engineers, going so far as to observe them carrying out their function before engaging them. Evan has a dislike of Brutes due to their apparent lack of expertise with technology. As the leader of Black Team, he is tasked with reporting directly to Constantine Spender. The easiest way to facilitate this reporting, is to serve on the same ship as Spender. Personal Health As a Spartan I - Evan's health exceeds that of a standard human being. He is capable of maintain his peak physical condition, well into his 70s and has shown no signs of deterioration in his performance or health.
