Jonas' family, going back multiple generations, has been made up of high-profile career military officers. As a result of this, it was no surprise that Jonas found himself encouraged to pursue a military life. In June of 2503, shortly after Jonas turned 18 and graduated High School, he enlisted in the UNSCMC and spent the next 4 months in basic training. During his time in basic, his natural talent and inclination for the work caught the attention of his superiors. Unbeknownst to Jonas, his fitness profile, skill set, and psychological make-up made him a perfect candidate for what would be the final wave of ORION super soldiers. In November of 2503, Jonas was recruited into the ORION program. By January of 2504, Jonas had been fully augmented and given the supplementary Black-Ops training needed for his future operations. Jonas was paired with 4 other men, Evan Wolfe, Archimedes Drake, Kraven Vance, and Eli Decker to form a highly skilled and effective strike team. Before the termination of ORION in 2506, Jonas and his team ran exactly 62 highly dangerous ops against The Insurrection - all successful. After ORION was disbanded in 2506, Jonas and his team were broken up and they went their separate ways. Jonas realizes that The UNSC can be useful at times. However, his allegiance is not to The UNSC. ONI Jonas treats ONI differently than he treats The UNSC. It has frequently been ONI that has proven to be quite intrusive in the plans of The Trust, and it has been ODST Black Team that has been forced to deal with the fallout of that intrusion. Despite The Trust's primary method of impersonating ONI Officers, high profile ONI Officers, such as Preston Vernette, will frequently rally legitimate ONI Officers against The Trust, and cause major disruptions. It is because of this that Jonas has a certain dislike for ONI. The Trust Jonas' loyalty to The Trust is as certain as it gets. There has never been a time that Jonas has doubted the direction or methods of The Trust. Jonas, like every member of Black Team, is prepared to lay down his life to preserve and protect The Trust. The Covenant Jonas has a very keen dislike for The Covenant, as they are what The Trust must defend Humanity against. Jonas has never shown any degree of compassion to any Covenant species during the war. Much like every other member of ODST Black Team, Jonas derives intense satisfaction from the elimination of Covenant soldiers. He has a specific dislike for The Sangheili. Ships of Service The Ulterior Motive - Jonas Prescott has served on The Ulterior Motive his entire career as Black 1. As the leader of Black Team, he is tasked with reporting directly to Constantine Spender. The easiest way to facilitate this reporting, is to serve on the same ship as Spender. Personal Health As a Spartan I - Jonas' health exceeds that of a standard human being. He is capable of maintain his peak physical condition, well into his 70s and has shown no signs of deterioration in his performance or health.
