Anaconda shook his head.
Anaconda: It still does not explain why you are doing the bidding of The Covenant. You can talk about where your loyalty lies...but your actions say something different. I learned long ago that there was no benefit, for anyone, in utterly destroying a technologically inferior race.
Nighthawk, who was watching rhe exchange, sighed.
Nighthawk: I will try not to take that personally...
Anaconda glared at Furium.
Anaconda: You can say whatever you want...you can say that you do what you do for our kind...but you are delusional. I know this, for a fact, because I used to think the same way, and do the exact same thing. I used to think that everything I did was for the benefit of our kind. However...I eventually learned that I was little more than a servant, doing what others wanted, only because they allowed it. The difference between you and I, is that you have managed to bury yourself so DEEP in your own delusion, that I doubt that you will ever get yourself out.
Meanwhile:
Tye also heard the message from Harrison.
Tyber: Admiral...what is the situation up there? I hope that this courtasy call is a good sign.
Tye popped out of cover and fired off a few rounds from his Automag, taking out a Brute that was getting ready to throw a spike grenade. Tye quickly ducked back down behind cover.
