Furium grunted, he had no time for the human's games, he had a spaceport to take. Furium growled loudly and swung his hammer at Nighthawk. The hammer landed directly in front of him as Nighthawk was not expecting it, causing Nighthawk to fly a few feet backwards. Athios and McKinley were near the edge of the roof and the subsequent gravity slam caused McKinley to fall over the edge.

Athios heard McKinley fall over and immediately darted up to catch him. Athios grabbed McKinley's arm just before he was out of reach.

On the ground below them, Jacob and the marines were firing everything they had at the incoming Covenant forces.

Marine: I'm out! Anybody got a mag!

The marine next to him slid him a magazine for his assault rifle and the marine continued firing. Jacob began to hear more and more calls out for ammo and resupply. He knew they wouldn't last long, not because of the force, but because of sheer numbers and logistics.

Jacob: The frontline is losing ammunition and supplies rapidly! We will hold as long as possible!

Jacob continued to fire his assault rifle when he saw another pack of brutes come over the top of the perimeter. These brutes were different though, they had the colors of Dangerus on their armor. They had his demeanor, they were his shock troopers. Jacob cursed, Dangerus had to be nearby...

The new brutes immediately moved to Carmicle's and the others position. Seven brutes moved against the five of them in little to no cover.

Jacob: Sergeant Carmicle! You have seven brute guards heading to your position, I would advise--

Before Jacob could finish an explosion rang out in front of him, causing him to fall backwards.

Carmicle: They're already on us Captain! Return fire!

Meanwhile:

Harrison listened to Burke. He knew Burke, of all people, would never make a decision like that lightly. Burke must have been seeing something he could not. A few squads of ODSTs for the fate of the fleet...and even the planet? He would have to oblige.

Harrison: Understood, Captain. We WILL try. Link up your plan with the rest of the fleet, we begin the attack on your mark.

Harrison paused.

Harrison: All ships...prepare for a counterattack.

Across space, on board the Perilus Avenger.

Dangerus had dragged the marine all the way to his bridge and had subsequently tossed him to one of his brutes, telling him to hang onto him.

Dangerus: Situation?

One of his officers began to talk.

Brute Captain: Chieftain...the added brutes have tightened security and we are mopping up most of the resistance. Although several human teams remain on board, we believe they will be dead soon.

Dangerus nodded as he took his command station over.

Brute Captain: The Clarity and Absolution has asked for support ships to come with them...as they have already destroyed the local resistance.

Dangerus nodded.

Dangerus: Give them what they need, pull us out of this fight, link up with my support ships.

The Brute Captain grunted.

Brute Captain: They were lost in the initial attack, my Chieftain.

Dangerus growled.

Dangerus: Then order a ship to come defend us! What is the status of the rest of the fleet?

The Captain nodded.

Brute Captain: We are fairing much better than the beginning. The counter attack surprised us, but we were quickly able to regroup and defend ourselves properly.
