Meanwhile:

Yates had finished his pre-flight sequence, and was now ready to depart the Vigorous Inferno. The last thing he did before he took off was engage the Stealth Systems.

Yates: As much as I have enjoyed Harrison's hospitality...I am worried that my welcome may be quickly coming to an end.

Yates engaged the thrusters on the Pelican, but as he did, he saw the hanger bay doors closing and sealing. Yates frowned.

Yates: Damn it...

Yates reached to his side, and armed several pods of missiles that were attached to the Pelican. He wasted no time in firing the missiles and destroying the large hanger door that was in front of him. However, the damage had also managed to destroy the security barrier as well, causing the hanger bey to start to vent.

With the large hanger bay door out of the way, Yates put the Pelican into full throttle, and used the momentum of the decompression, combined with the throttle of the Pelican, to slingshot right out of the hanger bay at tremendous speeds. As soon as Yates was clear, he came about in the Pelican, moving away from the combat area. However, with the Vigorous Inferno deep in the combat zone, Yates did have to avoid cross fire and the fire of other ships. Yates' only saving grace was the fact that his Pelican was equipped with Stealth Systems, but that did not last for long. A nearby explosion from a destroyed Seraph rocked the Pelican, disrupting the Stealth systems, which caused Yates' Pelican to show on sensors.

Yates looked at the display which had the words STEALTH SYSTEM FAILURE written on it in flashing red letters.

Yates: Ohhh...damnit...
