Tye nodded in agreement.
Tyber: Believe me...I am expecting it. To be frank...I expected them to show up sooner. In any case...they may be useful.
Tye paused.
Tyber: With that said...I see no reason not to let them in on current events, specifically, what you told me about the Covenant coming to slaughter us. They might have some more insight...perhaps even give us a few more details that could keep us alive a bit longer
Concurrently:
Nighthawk landed the Vulture on an open landing pad that was very close to the spaceport. The landing pad they had used was reserved for law enforcement vehicles.
Jennifer: Alright...look guys, you need to keep one thing in mind; people don't trust you.
Anaconda grunted.
Anaconda: I wonder why?
Jennifer looked at Anaconda. She sighed.
Jennifer: The last time I talked to Tye, the guy was stressed out to his wits end. He hides it well...but I know when someone is ready to snap...and he is at that point. Just let me deal with him if you want anything done.
Nighthawk: Alright. Fair enough. I for one am very aware of how Tye starts to act when he os out of patience. So be cool...
Nighthawk looked at Anaconda.
Nighthawk: And no antagonizing the locals.
Anaconda grunted, and then nodded.
Nighthawk: Alright...let's roll.
Nighthawk had shut the engines on the Vulture, and the rear hatch opened. The trio stepped out of the Vulture. Jennifer led the grpup, as she approached several Marines who had taken up position near the Vulture. The Marines lowered their weapons, and the senior Marine spoke up.
UNSC Sergeant: Ma'am...you seem to be keeping strange company.
Jennifer: Stow it Marine. Where is Commander Vernette?
The Sergeant pointed to the spaceport entrance.
UNSC Sergeant: Last I heard...he was in the main terminal.
Jennifer nodded, and then walked past the Sergeant. She headed to the Spaceports main terminal to find Tye. The Marines looked at Anaconda as he walked by. Anaconda didn't say much...except for letting out very loud snarl. This startled the Marines, making them jump back and move away.
Meanwhile:
Yates looked in Harridon's direction. He paused for a moment.
Yates: I wish to discuss Jacob Sharpmen's current assignment, namely, who he must deliver the the information he is carrying to. I am here to inform you that he will be delivering that information to me. Upon his return...you are to order him to turn it over.
