The Heart of the Aenar shook as the shields took the damage from the Ven'tek's weapons. Dickerson: "Shields are at 87%. The lead ship is taking shots at us. Judging from the impacts on the shield array they are targeting our warp core." th'Zarath: "Pull power from the engines and auxiliary systems and redistribute them to the shields and weapons. Return fire on the ship, targeting their weapons arrays." Dickerson: "Aye, Admiral." Dickerson did as instructed. The ship slowed down, being reduced to .25 of its speed, slowly chugging along as if it was an oncoming storm in the distance. th'Zarath looked as his holographic PADD mounted in the chair showed the numbers change between systems. The weapons and shields were both increased by 50% each. The Heart of the Aenar then began to match the directional change of the Ven'tek, both now facing their broadsides. The Heart of the Aenar fired another barrage at the Ven'tek with its supercharged phasers targeting the Bortasqu's weapons arrays.
