Jacob glared at Nighthawk and started walking. He knew Nighthawk was trying to get inside his head, throw him off, he wouldn't let it happen again. He wouldn't trust Nighthawk and he wouldn't let him gain any valuable information.

Jacob just kept walking, heading down to the sub-basement Nighthawk was speaking of.

Meanwhile:

Harrison was standing, staring at San Angeles on the other side of the system, the Covenant fleet covering it. He was listening to the conversation between Commander Burke and Captain Reynolds, and thinking of a way to take back the planet.

Harrison: Reinforcements are a no go...by the time FLEETCOM even acknowledges that we are in a rough spot, and by the time they gather up a force necessary to do it, the planet will be glassed and we'll all be dead.

Harrison paused.

Harrison: However...the idea of using ODSTs may indeed work.

Harrison put his arms behind his back and turned to face Commander Burke and Captain Reynolds.

Harrison: The Covenant fleet cohesion is much different than usual, instead of attack groups, or anything similar to any type of organization, the ships are simply...there.

Harrison walked to a holotable in the center of the room and activated it, opening a view of San Angeles and the Covenant fleet.

Harrison: We are not dealing with elites...this is a brute fleet. Each ship commanded by a brute, and their flagship the makeup of a brute with a very big ego. Yet...we all know a thing or two about brutes don't we?

Harrison smiled.

Harrison: Brutes are annoyed very easily, angered by some of the smallest things, and very reluctant to losing. I believe it is time we exploit this...the more we "poke" at the fleet, the more angered they will get. The more sloppy they will get, and that's all the better for us.

Harrison put his hands behind his back again.

Harrison: I am not saying we go for a frontal assault, that would end up in us losing the entire fleet. However, if we can poke at two or three ships, get them to move away from the planet, take down the shields with a organized attack...we could indeed punch some ODST squadrons right through that hull.

Harrison smiled.

Harrison: And I think I know an ODST Squad whose up for the challenge....

Meanwhile aboard the Perilus Avenger:

Dangerus had his flagship move into orbit around the planet. He was in his command chair, receiving updates from some of his many field commanders, a hologram of a Chieftian was standing before him.

Chieftain: The humans have taken refuge in an area known as "Regional HQ Bravo." We are unable to push through their defenses at the moment, but communications indicate the elites are preparing a frontal assault with everything they have.

Dangerus nodded.

Dangerus: Let them...if the elite commander wishes to throw his troops at the humans, he can. He was not the one who took the planet from the humans...that was me.

Dangerus paused, he stood.

Dangerus: Keep an eye on the elites...if they manage to push through the defenses, follow them in and secure the command center for me, do not let any elite in, no matter his rank. Inform the other Field Commanders to continue extermination of any and all human forces in their respective areas.

The brute nodded and knelt. Dangerus grinned.

Dangerus: I will be joining you in White River momentarily...prepare for my arrival.

The brute nodded.

Chieftain: It will be done, Chieftain...

With that, the hologram of the brute disappeared and Dangerus walked off the bridge, heading to his armory to suit up.
