Reynolds was on his bridge watching the battle and the ships. He then noticed the combat monitor on his chair relay the message from Burke. Reynolds: "Bring us to a forward position and slide us between our target and the lead cruiser. Go along this trajectory. Prepare to fire all weapons." The Mind's Attrition circled back and did a loop straightening its course to sail right between the Covenant cruisers. Now on a direct intercept course, Reynolds and his officers silently counted down til the destruction. Reynolds: "All hands, brace for impact." The Mind's Attrition was between both ships and fired off every available weapon it had destroying the lead cruiser and critically damaging their previous target. The Mind's Attrition shook violently, taking a significant collateral backlash damage. Reynolds: "Helm bring us about and prepare to fire a MAC round at the weakened ship." Anderson: "We have multiple casualties and a number of hull damages." Reynolds: "How is our combat effectiveness affected?" Anderson: "Multiple archer pods clusters are damaged. We have lost power to archer group 3 as well. In addition there is a slight drop to engine power." Reynolds: "My orders stand, bring us about and prepare to fire the MAC." Anderson: "Aye, Captain." The Mind's Attrition began to turn itself around for the MAC blast.
