Operations Officer: Ma'am...we have confirmation...Harrison has given us the green light to engage. We are to engage the Covenant COrvette with the UNSC Frigate "Hermiod"

Jennifer: That is all we need. Alright...prepare to alter course. Bring all weapons online, and prepare to engage the enemy in ELO.

Jennifer sat down in the command seat. She looked at the read-out next to her chair, and saw that all stations were reporting ready.

Meanwhile:

Nighthawk was listening to the UNSC comm chatter. What caught his attention was Harrison's last order.

Nighthawk: Shit...Harrison is ordering an evac of the city. He is ordering all UNSC personnel to bug out.

Anaconda: Well...that's good.

Nighthawk: No...that's bad...

Anaconda: Why bad?

Nighthawk: Well...because...it means we lost. It means we are falling back. Not a good way to start.

Anaconda: Live to fight another day. Besides...if the humans do not run...they will die as a result of bombardment. They will die...having never seen the faces of their killers.

Nighthawk: It makes retreat sound so good...doesn't it?

Nighthawk sighed. He looked at his sensor read out again, and he saw dozens of Phantoms moving up on the city. One by one, they began to declaok and drop Covenant soldiers into the streets. The Covenant was spread very far, with several Phantoms landing together in different spots in the same general area of the city.

Nighthawk: The Covenant are dropping more soldiers...they are overrunning the city...but...something isn't right. Why would they bombard AND put soldiers on the ground. Doesn't that seem...odd?

Anaconda: Not to me, it does not. That Corvette is here to destroy everything but one small portion of this city. I have been looking at the firing pattern of that Corvette...they seem to be intentionally NOT hitting one single spot of this city...yet, they are destroying everything else with great accuracy. Coincidentally...The Covenant is landing at the one spot they are NOT hitting. I take it back...this was never good...this WAS bad...

Nighthawk thought for a moment.

Nighthawk: Where are The Covenant landing? Where is the one spot they are not bombarding?

Anaconda: According to this readout...UNSC Regional HQ Bravo...

Nighthawk: They are going to overrun Regional HQ. They are going to data mine it. They are forcing the UNSC to fall back...and they are going to data mine Regional HQ, with no resistance. Those tricky bastards...

Meanwhile:

Xyrho was on the bridge of his Corvette. He watched the holotank as his Corvette continued the bombardment.

He turned to face his communications officer, when he heard his name called.

Communications Elite: Shipmaster Xyrho...I have managed to isloate the human communications. It seems that a large portion of communication between the human fleet and ground resistance seems to be centered around...this location.

A red marker appeared on the holomap. The marker indicated the location of Bentz Hotel.

Xyrho: Silence that location. Prepare to re-evaluate the targeting sensors. Destroy the source of this communication. Bombard the entire area until the ground below it begins to melt. Kill turn that area into a crater!

The plasma cannons on the Corvette began to shift their targeting towards the Bentz Hotel and the large surrounding area.

Xyrho: Fire at will...
