Vernette: Who cares how many engines it has...what matters is the design elements. The Bismarck's engines were reverse engineered from Forerunner Technology that we had recovered during The War. With that said...when we tested those engines two years ago, the Bismarck was faster and more manuverable than our smaller ships, despite its sheer size.

Vernette paused. He glared at Devron.

Vernette: I will say this once, and once only, Captain; when you are under MY COMMAND, you will refrain from "assuming" things about technology and ships that you only found out about 5 minutes ago. You are free to speculate and exchange ideas on tactics with your fellow officers to refine ideas into workable tactics. However, when it comes to you, making battle tactics in your head, by yourself, based on incomplete information and assumptions on ships and technology that you have not been briefed on, you become a danger to the people around you...and I will not tolerate that.

Vernette scoffed.

Vernette: There is only one person in this room who is allowed to take risky, spur the moment decisions, without consulting anyone, and that person is me. I am the ranking Officer here, I have earned the right to make the risky decisions, I have proven that my risksa re always acceptable risks...all because I have demonstrated time and time again that my decisions are based on quantifiable and measurable data and information.

Vernette glared at Devron.

Vernette: Keep that in mind Devron...
