It serves as an excellent sidearm and counter-infantry weapon. As opposed to the standard M6B Magnum, the M6B Magnum - ONI Variant is effective up to 300 feet. This weapon is standard issue on all ONI ships as of 2555. ONI marines usually do not carry this weapon but this weapon is very popular with the Section Two Army and Section 3 Peacekeepers. This weapon is easily dual weilded, inspite of the rapid rate of fire. The weapon sports a very stylish semi-matte black finish on the rubber grips, with a slight navy blue polish on the metal. The weapon itself proves highly effective against armor and kevlar at a range of less then 300 feet. Beyond 300 feet and the weapon becomes too inaccurate to be useful. It is equipped with a laser sight and smart link scope for zooming of up to 2x. Director Vernette's Personal Notes The M6B is commonly used by the ONI Army branch and Peacekeepers. It is an average weapon in my honest opinion. There is good stopping power, good rate of fire, and it reven comes with a zoom function that a Spartan or ODST could take advatnage of. However...my biggest problerm with this weapon is how front heavy it is. I consider myself to be a pistol marksman...and this gun just throws off my aiming. You won't see me using this weapon. -Director Vernette
