As the United Nations spread the ideologies of capitalism and free enterprise across the Sol system in the early to mid 22nd century, the ideas of Communism were revived by Vladimir Koslov, and the German Frieden Movement sought to withdraw from UN control and corruption and reform as an independant state on the Jovian Moons. The Trust was to see that proper financial and military support was given to the UN in the form of control of important banking and military institutions. It was because of this approach that The Trust evolved to believe that it MUST control everything in order to carry out their mission...which has adapted over the years to be interpreted as the survival of the Human race, at any cost, without regard for ethical and moral repercussions.
