The Cloak and Dagger
The Cloak and Dagger is a stealth Marathon Cruiser currently under the command of Director Preston J. Vernette. The Cloak and Dagger is among one of the most advanced ships in the entire fleet and is considered to be the most iconic ship due to it's name. This line of ship has fought in all of the most pivital battles for the survival of humanity. It is the flagship of the ONI Fleet and is part of Battlegroup 001. It is widely disputed and debated as to why this ship is on the front lines of the frontmost Battlegroup in ONI. Unlike most ships in the ONI fleet that specialize in one area, the Cloak and Dagger was designed to fill every role in ONI. From frontline military combat, to espionage, to research and development, the Cloak and Dagger is the most versatile and expensive ship ever built. The approximate cost of the Cloak and Dagger II is measured at 1.332 trillion Credits. The closest ONI ship is measured at 491 billion credits.

Design and Construction
The Cloak and Dagger's design was started in 2530 and were finished by 2537 by, the then, Commodore Preston J. Vernette. It took 7 years to design the Cloak and Dagger on schematics simply due to the complexity and secrecy of the ship. The ship was designed for one purpose, to fight and defeat The Coveant. However, due to the highly complex nature of the ship and the technology used it in the construction, it took 15 years to finish the construction of the ship, which is roughly seven times longer then a standard Marathon class cruiser.
The Cloak and Dagger was designed by reverse engineering Covenant design concepts. During the course of the War, Preston Vernette used his connections with Chieftain Barrabus to not only aquire Covenant weaponry designs and secrets, but to also aquire information about Covenant ships in order to design the Cloak and Dagger to better withstand assaults. Unlike most UNSC and ONI ships that were were built using the 191cm Titanium-A Battle Plate, The Cloak and Dagger was built using 271cm Titanium-B Battle Plate. The Skeleton of ship is built using Titanium-A while the outer hull is composed of Titanium-B Battle Plate.
The main difference between Titanium-A and Titanium-B can be measured by the increased molecular density and melting point of the latter material. The molecular bonding of the original formula for Titanium-A and a synthetic metallic compound known as Synthetically Reinforced Tungsten was used to create Titanium-B. Tungsten, in nature, is known to have the highest melting point. Synthetically Reinforced Tungsten increased that melting point three-fold to create a highly heat resistant solid metallic compound that can withstand plasma burning. When synthetically Reinforced Tungstan is fused with The Titanium-A, the result is the Titanium-B Battle Plate which proves to be 15 times more resilliant to, and effective against, Covenant plasma weaponry than the Titanium-A Battle Plate.
Construction of the Cloak and Dagger was officially completed at the end 2552. However, not but seven months after being introduce, the Cloak and Dagger was damaged beyond repair in an attempt to retake Earth. The ship however, was not destroyed. In fact, the ship survived a full-on engagement with Covenant designed ships and a harsh crash landing on Earth. Despite the irreversable damage to the engines and other systems, the superstructure remained intact. A second interation of the Cloak and Dagger, known as Cloak and Dagger-II, informally called The Cloak and Dagger, named for its predecessor, was introduced two years later and Director Preston J. Vernette was named commanding officer. There proved to be minor differences between the first and second Cloak and Dagger, including the switch to a full Titanium-B Skeleton and hull, improved Slipspace engines, and two high effeciancy MAC's known as the MAC Mark II.
Layout
The Cloak and Dagger is laid out as all UNSC and ONI ships are: by decks or levels. Either name is acceptable. The following is a list of all major areas on the Cloak and Dagger
Deck 1 is simply the small bridge section located at the front of the ship. Even though the numbering suggests it is located at the top of the ship, the term Deck 1 is reserved for the command center of the ship, as per military standard.

Director Vernette's Personal Notes
The Cloak and Dagger is me if I were a ship. She is her namesake! Though...would I be a she if I were a ship...that is the question? All ships are female...right? Who cares. The Cloak and Dagger is ONE of the deadliest things I have ever had the fortune of designing. The first warship ever built to sport a fully-functional stealth generator, experimental slipspace engines, a high efficiancy MAC, tough as nails battle plating...and a fully stocked bar. I dare anyone to beat that!
The first Cloak and Dagger was a beast! She was originally designed to be the flagship of ONI Section 0, to serve as the personal bird for the Director of ONI. I hated that fact that the ship I designed wasn't even going to be mine to command. However, as luck would have it, I managed to work my way up to the position of Director of ONI, thanks in no small part to the Covenant, with their whole genecide freeing up space on the career ladder. After I assumed the position of Director of ONI in 2553, I knew I was going to have this ship. The Cloak and Dagger was a masterpeiece. SHe was strong and she had personality. Even in her final hours of service...she didn't even break apart...she held together.
Of course...losing the first Cloak and Dagger was tough...but of course...that is why we built another. ONI wouldn't be ONI without the Cloak and Dagger in the fleet.
