Formation
Task Force 117 was formed in 2551, when the war was nearing the end for humans. Texas decided to find his fellow soldiers, who were trained in everything from long range to sabotage. Jacob, being a long time friend of Texas was one of the first to be chosen, and was a co-founder. He and Jacob met on Reach, with forty-nine others, (Jacob being fifty-one for some unknown reason) and chose the name Task Force 117. The number 117 was known to be used because of the Master Chief, and although, through Jacob's times with spartans they proved to be, traitors, the Master Chief was a beacon of hope and survival. Something he wanted to fight for. The number 117 was also chosen for some other reason, a reason only Texas and Jacob knew of.
Known Leaders
Texas
Texas, born in 2505 on Reach was a big part in the formation and stability of Task Force 117. He came up with the whole idea, and gathered many of the members. Texas was Jacob's long time friend and ally, they fought together on some occasions and became best friends through their time on Reach. His death was hard on Jacob, who left TF117 shortly after.
