The amount of incoming firepower had lessened, but it was barely noticeable. Nearly 20 enemy automatic weapons were chipping away at the cover the soldiers were hiding behind, and tracer rounds lit up the dark morning. If this continued on, Stotl knew how it would end. Soon, the enemy would move in close enough to REALLY pin down the soldiers and finish them off with mortars. They had to move now or never. Stotl: SAW gunners! Put up a wall of lead downrange! Pop off some 40's too! They wouldn't really be able to move until the grenades went off. Even if they didn't kill the enemy, the concussive force of the 40mm would be enough to stun the enemy, providing a chance to move.
