rapture basically means bliss. Yes, it is a city from Bioshock. It is also an event from the bible in which (NOT ALL) Christians will be taken off of Earth, so they don't undergo the horrific shit that would transpire after the rapture. Unlike Johovo Witness-ism, where only 200 000 people will be saved, there is no upper limit to how many people will be raptured. If life was a test, and your overall morality was your test score, only people over (roughly) 75% would be raptured, because they were generally good people, who believed and practiced moral ideologies. Also, people under the age of 16 are raptured, as the bible recognizes people as adults when they are 16. If you are under 16 you are considered a child, and basically get a free pass. Like, I am a Christian, but what this guy did, telling people the rapture will happened, was a dick move. That is totally shoving your beliefs in people's faces and intentionally trying to scare people with a system of beliefs (ie: religious faith) that is intended to help better yourself as an individual. But I digress...
