The runner nodded and left the tent. Meanwhile: Malleolus watched as his belongings and tent were packed up and sent on it's way. He smiled and walked around his camp. Meanwhile: Vetus walked into an alleyway. Vetus: Guards, leave me. The two guards looked at each other, shrugged and left. Before long, a man in a robe stood before Vetus, his hood covering his face. Vetus: Carbo, good to see you... Carbo: Senator...word has it you are getting quite popular with the rebellion. Vetus grinned. Vetus: Word has it...you're dead. Carbo laughed. Carbo: To the empire, Senator...the Rebellion awaits your arrival. Vetus: Not yet...send word to Malleolus, tell him I need more time. Carbo: You're time is up Vetus. You leave now, or you are not with the Rebellion. Vetus: The Emperor is under my command, if he thinks I tell him what the Senate wants, he does it. His rulings are becoming quite...contradicting. Carbo: I'll be back....two days Vetus...two days...until then, you are the Rebellions eyes, ears, and mouth in the Senate. Do us some good and make use of the time in that damn place.
