The Brute Incendiary Grenade has an effective range of about 11 to 36 feet. This weapon is designed to melt the victim, very slowly. This weapon was designed to inflict as much pain on the victim as possible by simply burning them to death. This is a Pre-Covenant weapon, meaning that this weapon has existed for however long the Brutes have had the ability to create firearms. As such, it does not utilize plasma based technology, but rather, a form of superheated gel that, when impacts with a hard surface, interacts with the casing and ignites into a very hot flame estimated at roughly 2200 degrees celcius. The heat is enough to destroy vehicles of all classification. The very composition of this weapon speaks volumes of the barbaric nature of the Brutes. The fire spreads quickly, covering the target or the area it was thrown at in less then a second. The flame seems to be resiliant to water. It is surmised that this weapon uses a complex formula to artificially create a superheated reaction in conjunction with a flame. However, only the Brutes truly know, and they refuse to tell others how they make this grenade.
