The Brute Spike Grenade is a vicious hand grenade to say the least. The Brute Spike Grenade has an effective range of about 11 to 36 feet. This weapon is not designed to kill, although it very well can. This weapon was designed to inflict as much pain on the victim as possible. This weapon was designed to make you die, screaming in agony. This is a Pre-Covenant weapon, meaning that this weapon has existed for however long the Brutes have had the ability to create firearms. As such, it does not utilize plasma based technology, but rather, a form of superheated metal spikes as a dispersion projectile. The very composition of this weapon speaks volumes of the barbaric nature of the Brutes. You don't even need to throw it to kill someone with it, you can simply beat them with it. The Brute Spike Grenade is also equipped with close-combat blades which prove to be a very lethal addition to the weapon. What makes this weapon even more dangerous is the ability to easily dual weild it. Some Brutes have been observed actually beating people with this grenade, slicing them apart. It is like a table leg with machetes on it.
