MA37 Assault Rifle - ONI Variant Base Weapon: MA37 Assault Rifle Clip Size: 32 Bullets Projectile Force: Medium Bullets: 7.62x51mm Full Metal Jacket rounds Effective Range: 100 ft Rate of Fire: 700 Rounds per Minute MA37 Assault Rifle - ONI Variant The MA37 Assault Rifle - ONI Variant is an alternative, and less popular, assault rifle for ONI personnel. It serves as a suppressive and short to medium range counter-infantry weapon. As opposed to the standard MA37, the MA37 Assault Rifle - ONI Variant is capable of a much further fire distance of up to 80 feet. This weapon is standard issue on all ONI ships as of 2555. ONI marines can be seen using this weapon when deployed in the field. It should be noted that this weapon quickly becomes inaccurate, and should be used as a burst fire weapon, inspite of it being an automatic weapon. The weapon sports a very stylish semi-matte black finish on the rubber grips, with a slight navy blue polish on the metal. The weapon itself proves highly effective against shields at a range of less then 40 feet, and effective to suppress and damage shieled and power armored targest at anything exceeding 40 feet. Although the accuracy is excellent up to 100 feet, the weapon itself proves to be slightly innaccurate in the hands of a novice when being used in full-auto mode. It is mounted with a digital compass and ammo counter.
