Plasma Repater - Brute Variant Plasma Repater - Elite Variant Clip Size: 100 battery Units (200 Shots) Damage Rating Index: 6 Bullets: Superheated Plasma Effective Range: 200 ft Rate of Fire: 600-900 Rounds per Minute Type-51 Directed Energy Rifle/Improved - Plasma Repeater The Plasma Repeater is a standard infantry firearm. It serves as an excellent primary weapon for any species. Against infantry, the lethality of the Plasma Repeater is extreme. Injuries inflicted to a victim are severe third-degree burns, this level of injury causes the wound to be cauterized instantly upon impact. Body fluids would be subjected to flash vaporization, inducing a strain or a shock on the body after impact, fluids trapped in organs or arteries in addition to the rapid expansion of heat would cause ruptures or small explosions causing additional damage to the target. Near misses can also cause injury to the target, as they produce severe burns to the area they pass, this can also cause heat trauma or heat stroke from the extreme temperatures of the bolt. Brute Variant The Brute variant utilizes a red plasma system and is capable of much faster rates of fire. This weapon will overheat very quickly as the rate of fire is incredibly fast. It is quite possibly one of the fastest guns known to ONI. Elite Variant The Elite variant utilizes a blue plasma system and has a much slower rate of fire. This weapon has good sustainability in terms of consistant firing and overheating. Although not as fast as the Brute variant, this weapon still fires very quickly.
