M6G Magnum - ONI Variant Base Weapon: M6G Magnum Clip Size: 8 Bullets Damage Rating Index: 6 Bullets: .50 Caliber Magnum Rounds Effective Range: 200 ft Rate of Fire: 120 Rounds per Minute M6G Magnum - ONI Variant The M6G Magnum - ONI Variant is a high powered handgun. It serves as an excellent sidearm and counter-infantry weapon. As opposed to the standard M6G Magnum, the M6G Magnum - ONI Variant is effective up to 200 feet. This weapon is standard issue on all ONI ships as of 2555. ONI marines usually do not carry this weapon but this weapon is very popular in the navy and the medical corps, as every officer carries one. This weapon is easily dual weilded, however, due to its slower rate of fire, and massive recoil, only the best sharpshooters are capable of that feat. Director Vernette had a personal hand in creating this weapon. It was based losely off the design for Nighthawk's Magnum, a weapon also created by Director Vernette in 2538. Although not as effective as Nighthawk's Magnum, it is considerably more effective then the standard M6G Magnum. The weapon sports a very stylish semi-matte black finish on the rubber grips, with a slight navy blue polish on the metal. The weapon itself proves highly effective against shields at a range of less then 200 feet. Beyond 200 feet and the weapon becomes too inaccurate to be useful. It is mounted with a laser sight to help with aiming.
