Type-52 Special Applications Rifle Focus Rifle - Brute Variant Type-52 Special Applications Rifle Focus Rifle - Elite Variant Clip Size: Battery Powered Impact: Medium Bullets: Focused Energy Effective Range: 2000 ft Rate of Fire: Continuous Particle Beam Type-52 Special Applications Rifle - Focus Rifle The Focus Rifle is a long range weapon, that, despite its visual similarities to the Beam Rifle, functions quite differently. It fires a continuous directed energy beam. It is uncertain of this beam is plasma based or not, but it is clear that the damage it inflicts to shield systems is no doubt similar to what a plasma weapon can do. Brute Variant The Brute variant is geared more towards killing the target then suppressing them. The Brute variant, like most Brute weapons, discharges its energy much quicker and with more power then standard variants. Additionally, the beam it projects is tinted a darker red as opposed to the standard yellow so as to gve the weapon the same features commonly associated with Brute weapons. Additionally, the Brute variant  seems to discharge and overheat much quicker then the standard Focus Rifle. As such, targets are killed much quicker. This is why the Brute variant is more of a killing weapon then a supressing weapon. Elite Variant The Elite variant is geared more towards suppression of a target and less towards killing said target. The Elite variant, like most Elite weapons, discharges its energy much slower and with less power then the Brute variants. Additionally, the beam it projects is tinted to the standard yellow. Additionally, the Elite variant  seems to discharge and overheat much slower then the Brute Focus Rifle. As such, targets are killed much slower. This is why the Elite variant is more of a suppression weapon.
