Type-47 Light Assault Platform Alias: Locust Armaments: Light Directed particle Beam (1) Role: Assault Crew: 1 Pilot, 1 Gunner Slipspace: No Stealth: No Type-47 Light Assault Platform - Locust The Locust is the standard Light Assault Platform in the Elite military forces. It utilizes 4 mechanical legs to move, much like the Scarab does. It is relativly slow moving but able to move in any direction due to the positioning of the legs. The weapon systems on the Locust are very formidable. The directed particle laser is absolutly deadly to infantry, heavy armor, and buildings. Locust are one of the few field based armors that are shielded. THis provides both an offensive and defensive augmentation. The power for the shields can be diverted to turn the directed particle beam into a large directed particle beam, comparable to that of the Scarab's particle beam. However, this overdrive of the offensive systems can prove hazardous to the Locust and its hardware.
