I've been thinking that I might start typing up a story on here and only here. I want to do this for a couple reasons. 1) It helps me convey my feelings and emotions in a more... poetic manner. 2) You guys may, or may not, enjoy the stuff I type about. 3) It's just something I want to get back into the habit of doing. So here's my first segment of the story.

It's a cool, crisp morning in the Valley. The autumn leaves falling to the ground, radiant in gold, crimson red, and orange. There is an ever slight breeze, enough to create a whisper in the air, one that only those who pay attention notice. A boy was walking down the road, the mountaintops enshrouded by the morning clouds and fog. The boy, very happy and joyous, is wearing a smile that is unfitting to his normal tone. As he walks, he unwinds a candy wrapper and starts to eat it, his brown hair dancing in the whispering wind. After many minutes of walking the boy is approaching the town limits, ahead the church, doubled up as the town hall, the general store, a library, the school, a gas station, and a tavern, built in the 19th Century.

When the boy approached the general store, a short girl with long flowing blonde hair walks out and the two made eye contact. He walks up the short incline into the store and the storekeep greets him with his usual happy-go-lucky greeting. The storekeep offers the boy some excess candy from Halloween. The boy first rejects the offer, but upon inspection of the large bowl, he sees his favourite candy: cinnamon drop.

(Well that's the end of my writing for now.)
