backstory: Montgomery was born on Courascant and joined the Republic shortly after his 18th birthday. He quickly rose in ranks and after a while passed the test to command his own ship. He now commands The Red Badge with over 1500 troops and 200 scientists, he also has most up to date technology for fighting the Seperatists.
