The inhibitors created a virtual 3rd hemisphere where the AI resides. That's why Delta talks to himself a lot, he has a voice, in his brain. It can do all sorts of things to his thoughts. Read them, hear them, block them...you name it! Even when he removes the head dress thinggy, where the AI chip is, that 3rd Hemisphere is still there, without an AI...its empty...nothing there...redundant brain. Vernette: The helmet was very smiler. I could not go planting inhibitor networks in everyone's brain...so...I did the next best thing. I planted the inhibitors inside the helmet! When the helmet formed the uplink with your brain, it was plugging in a 3rd hemisphere into your brain, the AI could then move around inside your brain.
